EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMME TO RAISE AWARENESS ON GENDER EQUALITY YO PUEDO SER...

In the teaching materials, we provide you with different contents and activities (which are by no means obligatory for participating in the contest) that may help you to work on the topic with your students and focus your participation project.

There are two participation categories:

Category A

Category

Years 1, 2 and 3 of primary school

Category B

Category

Years 4, 5 and 6 of primary school

The jury will take students’ age into account in the evaluation criteria of the projects.

Objectives

Have your students discovered the value of women throughout the course of history?
Have they investigated the professions of women around them?
Have they run across and identified gender stereotypes and inequalities?

Now is the time to find great female models for our society! Women who have achieved becoming what they wanted to be through their perseverance, hard work and will power, becoming shining examples to imitate: politicians, singers, actresses, painters, footballers, scientists, aviators, entrepreneurs… Encourage your students to think about and pick their proposals!

All classrooms registered will receive our poster WOMEN OF HISTORY (great women from the past), and we suggest that you complement them by creating your own: as a classroom-group you will create the poster WOMEN FOR HISTORY (great women of today), with your proposal of four recognised women today (with at least one Spanish woman), one from each area:

presidents,
ministers,
queens...
actresses, singers,
painters, writers,
journalists...
swimmers, entertainers,
weightlifters,
footballers, basketball
players, athletes…
astronomers,
inventors,
mathematicians,
physicists, astronauts...

We want to know who these women are and why you picked them! Really think about the reasons why your four proposals are important to our society, because it is not enough that they are just famous… and get to work! You have until 29 April to upload to your private area a photo or scanned image of your poster.

The technique or techniques that you use to create your poster is totally open:
drawing, photography, collage…

The participative project

Have you got your poster ready on WOMEN FOR HISTORY?

If you still haven’t started, remember that you’ve got until 29 April to upload a photo or scanned image of your classroom-group’s project to the private teachers’ area on this website.

And now you can hang the original up in your classroom!

We can’t wait to see your project,
Let’s keep making history in gender EQUALITY!

Participation implies full acceptance of these rules
Objectives

PROPOSAL + CREATIVITY + IDEA + TEXT + ORIGINALITY + EQUALITY + RESULT

The jury will evaluate these aspects for all the projects submitted:

  2. Line of reasoning for why your students
    have selected these four women.
  3. Originality, creativity and quality of the artistic techniques employed in creating the poster (with consideration of the children’s ages).
